Parametric Wind Approach
Agung Sedayu buildings shapes are designed and considering air-stream. The use of parametric approach for the facade design which is called “Streamline Morphology”, is in order to gain the least wind load effects in the building and trying to incorporate the use of the wind speed for their benefits. The Agung Sedayu tower is designed in such complex way in order to reuse the wind speed to increase the wind flow in the interior of the building. The development of the algorithm in order to test the best facade shape to incorporate the use of the wind so that increasing the ventilation rate while still minimizing the wind loads on the external facades.
Wave glass film facade
The glass film is designed parametrically to give a shading that is inconjunction with the facade to minimize the direct light on the interior area but still gives a fair amount of light during the day. On the daytime the wave glass film facade gives a direct light protection for the interior part. However, on night-time the glass facade gives an illumination effect to the surrounding area thus gives a dynamic facade morphology on the building.
