Balai Kirti Museum

As a historical place, Istana Bogor (President Palace) has uniqueness. It is an old and a conservation building, also the existing landscape (including flora and fauna) become high value for this place. The extension of Balai Kirti (Hall of Fame) as a new building on the Istana Bogor area is designed to reflect existing buildings and landscape. The building mass adopts form of existing buildings to create harmonious vista. The old structure is preserved and reused in order that to save costs as well as to keep continuity with the surrounding. Furthermore, the usage of glass as a facade material is a strategy to reflect building and landscape as an attraction of Istana Bogor (President Palace).

In the other hand, instead of intervening landscape of President Palace, we add other functions that can be used as an interaction stuff for visitors. Maximising and preserving the natural landscape as a habitat for flora and fauna.
