Convention Hall at SCBD 

Sudirman Convention Hall is located on Sudirman CBD, Jakarta – that is a high density place and the most prestigious business district that surrounded with high rise building and a skycrapper. However, a convention hall is identical with a wide span building or located on a large space. The main problem is “how to design a Convention Hall in a limited space? and how to integrate the building with CBD facilities and buildings?”.

I propose a building that creates and provides compact facilities in one place that be expected for nurturing and growth of cultures and collaborative spaces. Cnvention hall and meeting room as formal rooms, and cafe, hall, plaza as informal places and those all are accessible to public. Sudirman Convention Hall is conceived as a chain of reaction to the various external and internal forces, such as daylight, air circulation, and the building user, vehicular and pedestrian circulation.
